There are several paths that you can choose from to become a nurse. You can choose to become RN or LPN. A licensed practical nurse can be completed in one year. The scope of the practice varies depending on the state you live in. The track to become LPN nurse is short but the opportunities will be limited. A registered nurse is the next type of nurse that you can choose. Typically, it can be completed in 2 years. Nurses who take RN program receive either associate’s degree in nursing or nursing certificate. RN works in many areas and they have a wide range of privileges compared to LPN.

I think also that nursing specialists are required in having a bachelor’s degree to work as staff nurse. But, if you want to level up your career, you can choose the position to become nurse practitioner, nurse manager, consultant nurse or charge nurse.

You might also want to take master’s degree to be superior. There are many nursing specialties requiring a little more than bachelor’s degree. If you have a plan in applying, be sure to know what you really want to have. You need to search for all nursing specialties to have many choices. It also allows you to think what the best is really for you.

Choose the specialties that interest you. If you have many choices, narrow down your list to the best five. With that list, choose the one you like. It is not easy to complete a certain nursing specialty but if you do well and you exert your best, you are sure to get what you want. You can already have a great career that you never expect. Because of that, know more about nursing specialties in gaining the information you need.
